Tzeng Shing-kwei and Mark van Tongeren electro-acoustic impro

This is a live recording from a composition of Taiwanese composer Tzeng Shing-Kwei for two voices and electronics. The piece was performed in May 2012 in Hsinchu, Taiwan, as part of a concert of composers and musicians from the Taiwan Computer Music Association. Professor Tzeng uses a number of digital patches to process the live feed of the two voices, and also a recording of a well-known Dutch folk song. The result is a partly improvised work shifting between familiar and unfamiliar sounds. You can also check out my piece for extended vocal techniques, and a longer piece of overtone singing here on VIMEO. The concert was organised by the Taiwan Computer Music Association and the video was made by them.
